Each 2-week sprint had a specific goal: test one content theme, measure engagement, iterate. No existing audience initially. Back then, I'd post on Medium, then share on FB writing groups and repurpose for IG posts. The idea is to post frequently in high traffic places for my niche, experiment, then observe engagement. After three sets of 2-week sprint experiments, I gained a better idea of which content to double down on because I had actual reader feedback, not assumptions.
Very welcome! I'm not so sure about the FB groups nowadays, I think it depends on the niche. But the pattern of testing content and iterating on what's working is still the most reliable "formula" for those starting out. (Other than that, the rest is luck). Definitely, when you don't have an audience, the key is to post where the potential audience is and talk about what's in their periphery. So that could be Substack Notes, Medium, X, Instagram, etc. And then finding which platforms one is gets the best traction in:)
How did you get valuable results from 2 week experiments?
Did you have an existing audience? Did you post in communities?

Thanks.
Do you think this is replicable now?
It seems that if you post without an audience, getting traction is almost impossible. Unless you choose very trendy topics.
